  1. How many spies did Joshua send into Jericho to try and find a way for the Israelites to attack it?

  4. Who was the first to see the Israelite men in the city?
  5. What did the man give to the woman who helped them before he left?

Joshua: Lord, I was with Moses when he handed down these commandments. I was to the covenant, the promise of a holy nation. Help me to that nation, to lead your people to inherit their land.

A voice: Joshua!

Joshua: The Lord brought us out from Egypt, he promised us this land. And soon it will be ours! Come! Are you ?

Spy: We'll search the whole city.

Joshua: Just find me a way in. We must take Jericho. It's all that between us and the promised land

Jericho Soldiers: Hey! Hey! Only water in daylight. Go, go stay indoors. The Israelites can attack at any time.

Rahab, my little . What are you doing out, hmm? You know it’s not safe.

Rahab: Safe enough.

Jericho Soldier: No one is safe.

Rahab: I can myself.

Jericho Soldier: Go home.

Spy: Shh.

Old Woman: What are you doing here? Israelites!

Spy: Go, go.

Jericho Soldiers: Israelites

Spy: Brother. For Israel!

Spy: For Israel! Quick!

Jericho Soldiers: Over here! Get more men!

Spy: We've got to get inside. Look out.

Jericho Soldiers: They must not . Go door to door.

Spy: In here!

Jericho Soldiers: Everyone, return to your homes!

Rahab: Hello?

Spy: Keep quiet, and I promise I won't hurt him. ?

Rahab: Yes. You're Israelites.

Spy: You've heard about us?

Rahab: You have a God who commands the winds and the seas.

Spy: He saved us from slavery. We are his chosen.

Rahab: This whole city is of you. How can we fight a people whose God can do that?

Jericho Soldiers: Open up! Open up! Back inside! Open the door!

Spy: Can we get out that way? Help us, and we will help you.

Rahab: Go. I'll them if I can.

Jericho Soldiers: Open the door!

Spy: Come with us.

Rahab: I can't. My family...

Spy: When our army comes, this on your door, so they will know not to harm you. You'll be passed over.

Rahab: Stay here.

  1. How many years did it take the Israelites to get to the land God had promised to give them?
  2. Why was it important for the Israelites to conquer Jericho?
  3. Who was Rahab and what did she believe about God?
  4. What did the spy mean when he told Rahab, “You will be passed over”?
  5. Thousands of years later, Rahab’s name is listed in the family records of Jesus. What does this show us about God?
